It is this type of backfiring that I want to use throughout my story whilst the boy is making his wishes.

Bedazzled (2000)
Just added up this post about the film Bedazzled. this shows how wishes can go bad. In my story, the genie is stupid, but in this film the devil makes it impossible for the main character to have what he wants.

Hey Adam,
Your 'riches' gag made me 'LOL' - and I very much like the idea of the bimbo genie - a nice touch with very broad comic appeal. You might want to watch your Act 1 set-up, as it read a little too complex; you need to get into the action (and so into the warehouse right away). The lion's share of your screen time wants to concentrate on those 3 wishes, so don't delay in getting there. And your third Act? It feels as if the third wish and the third act should be one and the same - some kind of punchline or resolution. Did I say I liked the figure-skating idea gag too - I did and I do.
Remember, this brief is a demanding one - with storyboards, character designs, concept art etc. all expected of you as routine and part of your own creative methodology. You'll certainly need to speed up a bit if you're going to get as much from this as you should; for the conventions re. character design sheets see:

Your 2d skills will be up for scrutiny, Adam, so use this brief to 'self-medicate' - approach your storyboards etc. with the mind set that you're going to improve your draftmanship and 2d technical skill - after all, you have a curvaceous genie to deliver!
Please see the following posts for general guidance and advice re. the written assignment; pay particular attention to the second post that deals with cultivating a more formal 'voice' for your essays. You need to work on your writing style and your formality.
