Curse of Eden - Making Of

Curse of Eden

More Flower Updates

More updates of flowers which will be part of my final animation.

Flower progress

Using the research which I have gathered in the earlier stage of the project and the concept sketches I have been trying to create a plant which looks beautiful but at the same time slightly deadly.

I am really happy with the result of the main petal/flower head. I used my research and concepts to create this model.

More Roots

Another update which shows some more roots which I can use throughout my scene.

Modeling these took some time because I wanted it to look different from the other root in a previous post.

I have combined the different roots to create a scene which demonstrates an overgrown floor.

Root Research

Just a quick post to show a few images of roots which may help in further developing my root/vine models.

Vines/Roots Progres

One of the key parts of my animation will be the vines which I will be creating to  show a dark and dingy environment where this sort of plant/tree may grow.

I extruded along curve to create the vines in the image below. After I created the shape of the root I moved the verticies around to create indents in the model.

I repeated the process above for creating vines which would wrap themselves around the root giving it a more overwhelming effect which suggests that the root is being suffocated.

Apple Scene Modeling Progress

In this scene I needed to create an apple which represented Eden.

I have created a simple apple using a sphere and manipulating it using soft select. This apple is key to the start and finish of my animation.

The Apple and the terrain all textured ready for me to start adding the textures.
