One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest

Im not sure how this relates to this project but watching the Elephant man on Monday morning made me think about a particular movie that made me have the same effect on my emotions.
"One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest" is an adaptation of The novel which was released in the 1960's, "Ken Kesey".

Do not let the age or the name of this film put you off, This is what I did until I actually took the time to sit down and watch it. To be honset this is maybe one of my favourite films of all time.
It includes brilliant acting from the whole cast and a massive array of mixed emotion.

To give you a small insight to the plot of the film, Jack Nicholson plays a character called Randel Patrick McMurphy, A criminal serving a sentence in a prison for Statory rape. To avoid a hard life in a main prison he gets himself sectioned and transfered to a mental asylum.

I dont want to go into too much detail of the plot just incase I spoil a point of the film.(One of my hates)
All i can really say is if you get a chance you should definately use two hours of your life to watch this movie.

The book is excellent too - indeed, it kept me awake until 4am - it was absolutely gut-wrenching, but, interestingly, it's written from the POV of the 'Juicy Fruit' Indian... I suggest you read it, as I'd suggest it's superior to the film...

I agree, great book and great film adaptation being pretty faithful. Jack Nicholson does a great performance in capturing McMurphy. Had to study and write a comparative essay on this as well.
