I was given very little time to complete the images above. Some of the images turned out really well but I just could'nt get my head around drawing only negative space and trying not to focus on the model. according to the tutor he said this abstract approach bought out the best in my drawings as he could see much improvement with every weeks lesson.

Tutor knows best! I think your drawing is really coming on; trust Chris's tuition; he's a very talented painter and he knows his onions! Your drawing will just keep improving, so keep working at it - and welcome the difficulty; it means you're breaking new ground.
