Below are an array of sketches which I have used to design my final set for my animation which you will be seeing over the next few days of work.
The Concept in the image below was drawn by me to show an old and devastated Flanders fields with the graves in the background. These images were drawn at the earlier stages of development.
The concept above was an experiment I did to see whether I could use the different shades of gray colored pens to portray a messy and devastating environment. These ideas were given to me from different Otto Dix artworks. His style was very dirty, some of his works were more of a crazy combination of styles. This I think is why his work immediately got my attention. However I'm unsure as to whether I like this piece of work which portrays a trench.
The images above were also drawn at an early stage in my design development. This was when I was unsure of whether I needed a character for my animation. Also some of the sketches were for different props, which I will talk about when I get to the images below.
The images below and above were quick sketches to help me gather a more visual idea of what I will need aswell as an environment in the final animation.
