Maya - Week One
The image above was a rendered snapshot from the first video tutorial. In this first tutorial I used a bump map to create the sand.
After taking a UV snapshot of the coins, I took the layout into photoshop and went through a process to create a specific design for my coins. For this I used my intials, A.B. After my texture was made I took it back into Maya and rendered as seen in the image above.
In this third image you can see I have used the same techniques which I used from the first project where I created a gold texture. This was what I had used to create the material for the golden goblet within the chest
This one probaly took the most time of all the other videos. Making the map which sat within the sand proved not hard but time consuming. Once I had finished using photoshop I added the texture to create the treasure map which you can see in the image above.
Another couple of objects I needed to add a texture to were the gemstones and the pearls. With the different colour gems I just created a texture within Maya and played around with the settings to create all of the different coloured gems, The same with the pearls.
This is basically the same as the image above, however I decided to have a mess around and create sapphire coloured gems just to experiment.
This image above is the final render for week one. I might go back to this image and re-render the scene with the original colour gems just incase it needs to be exact. :)
