So after looking at a lot of image and videos and just research in general, I have thought about an idea which I think I could use so that I could start my storboard thumnails.
I found that one of the most common places to find Slime Mould in the wild would be woodland areas, mainly on rotting bark for example. What I am going to try and visualise later on in the day is how this process will fit together.
At the start of the animation I want the audience to watch from a single spores point of view. I want the spore to be fired out of a Slime mould, and the camera is the spore, if that makes sense. Following the spore, we will come through an opening in the trees landing at the base of an old rotting tree stump. I want to show the detail in this shot, I would like to highlight some of the key features but not take the focus off of the spore. I will then show the haploid cell come out of the spore and start to feed on the Bacteria amongst the log. After showing the feeding stage, I will have different shots from such as a top shot which will show the cells multiplying. Eventually, the music will rise up as well as the small Slime moulds, with the focus on the most dominant mould. The animation will end once the Slim mould is had grown to its fullest, it will pulsate and shoot spores out once again starting the cycle once more.
Hopefully by the end of the day I should have some sketches up plus most of my thumbnails for my final story.
